This tool kit is perfectly set up to ensure you have all the basic tools you might need when out on the water. The quality is first class and because they’re designed to withstand salty conditions you know they’ll be ready to use when you need them.. not a rusty mess. I’m delighted with the quality, presentation and price.It has a good selection of tools that you'll need on a boat. However, each tool rather snaps into it's own little space in the plastic case and some tools consistently fall out of their slots no matter how much you try seating them properly. It is incredibly frustrating as tools are falling out of their slots as you're trying to close the case. Enough of that already!This is titled as an emergency tool kit, and probably a good title. The tools aren’t of great quality, but can do the job in a pinch. If I could return, I would, but I waited too long. Also, I have a leopard cat, and need metric. That’s on me for not paying better attention.Would be a five star if it gripped the tools in it tighter.The plyers are already spotted with rust even though I've never used them and kept them in the case on my sailboat. I was hoping to get a toolset that would be more resistant to the corrosive effects of marine air; for the most part, this kit does it, but not as well as I expected or would have liked.I had to use the wire stripping tool in a pinch last weekend. The edges don’t even touch so I couldn’t do what I needed to. The end wouldn’t even cut through a thin wire. I will need to upgrade this and some other tools in the kit so I’m not stuck again.Thought that the gasketed case was a great idea, much better than a duffle bag full of rusty tools. Unfortunately the tool quality is not up to the basic quality needed to work on the boat. Adjustable wrench, pump style pliers, and 3/8 ratchet are very disappointing. Tried using the tools for basic tune up, plugs, Distributor cap, belts, hoses. Was not able to do the job and had to go back to the garage for better tools. Will purchase a pelican case and tool up with functional tools in lieu of this kit. When you consider the cost of a breakdown on the water or at the dock, these tools are not a bargain if you cant get the job done with them.Bought this as my primary tool kit for my boat. You can find other good tool sets, but there aren't many that have a rubber seal against water. Some descriptions said the tools were rusted. Mine were in perfect condition. Only downside is that the case is very rough around the edges and hard to open. You have to snap open six separate locking things each of which requires some strength in your hands, and the plastic is rough and sharp in spots which makes it painful on the fingers if you are not wearing gloves or popping it open with a tool (I suppose you could file it down smooth). Strangely, my case had a strong gasoline smell all over it.I would have liked to add a hammer and a pair of vice grips, but it has 90% of everything I would need.
