Overview:As described.Experience:lots of choices for a circular saw, if you're looking for a 6 1/2" I'd opt for the DeWalt, but for the same price you can move up to a 71/4 Craftsman brushless. More power and rock-solid design, the base plate is hefty no stamped steel but a real slab of metal, ergonomics are perfect, good blade break. The blade guard is a big step up from my old Porter cable, I was always having to help it on small cuts as it had too much play and would bind. The Craftsman has no play and operates smoothly. I've been using for mostly 2x6" treated lumber and it does so with ease, most of this is atypical big box wet stuff... Very pleased. Will not disappoint.The only consideration is batteries, I have Dewalt and craftsman, GreenWorks, and a few one-off brands, it can be a pain needing multiple chargers and all so consider what tools you might be upgrading or purchasing and see if you can get them down to the fewest brands, really makes things easier.
