it's a decent utensil set that provides the most commonly needed utensils and a nice bin to store them. most of utensils are made of plastic after all, so some care is necessary. i don't leave them in the hot pan or pot for any extensive period of time. i wash them by hand instead of throwing them into the dish washer. i don't handle them as they are heavy duty metal utensils (scoping too much spaghetti, or too full of scope of ice cream...) after a few weeks of lightly usage, they are holding up just fine. i wish the storage bin has narrower gap on the sides, so the handle of utensil won't stick out that easily. other than that it's a useful set with very good price. While this tool set has everything you could ask for as far as tools, it falls WAY short on functionality. At a glance, it looks very stylish, but as soon as you try to fill it with tools, the design errors become apparent. The stainless loops that make up the sides are so far apart that the handles of the longer tools fall through and it becomes a disheveled mess. The smaller items, like the ice cream scoop and the peeler are instantly buried so deep under the larger tools, they require an archaeological permit to dig for them. All in all, it is a good theory, but poor design. Lining the stainless container in a finer mesh would probably do but ,as stands, it is an aggravating mess of utensils.I love this set. For $22 I didn't expect much, but I'm surprised at how much I like everything. I'm not a big fan of the holder, however. The tools fall out of the sides so I ended up buying a new one. Some of the utensils like the spatulas and spoons aren't very sturdy. They bend a little when I'm stirring stuff like Mac and cheese. But it doesn't bother me all that much because I don't need any fancy cooking utensils.Of course it actually was really cheap, so I'll give it that much!Pros: Inexpensive for the amount of utensils in the set.A large variety of necessary kitchen toolsCons: The container it comes in did not work for us. The utensils wouldn't stand straight up, obviously, and they just poked right out of the bottom and fell to all the sides of the container. It did not look good at all. We ended up buying a cheap "bamboo" container from WalmartThe glue that attaches the handle to the tool has melted and dripped down while in the dish washer. The metal used for the tools is very malleable. All but the whisk has been bent out of shape from normal use.The kitchen tools that came in this set are great for our office - basic, matching, and perfect for when we have a potluck or a dinner meeting. The material worked well to place a plastic label on. My only complaint is that the metal holder they come in is completely useless - due to its shape and lack of real sides, it can't hold more than a couple of the tools without all of them going at angles and sticking out the bottom. I'm going to buy a simple large jar and keep them in that instead. I'm a little annoyed that the thing I expected to keep them in one place doesn't work, but the pieces themselves are sturdy.Great product for the price! Has all the essentials, except I didn't realize that it didn't come with a can opener. Quality of the items aren't all that great. It's similar to the quality of something that you would buy from the dollar store. But hey, it does the job. One thing that I find very annoying is the storage basket. It doesn't hold up the tools very well and because of the open wire style the tools always fall through the holes and never stay up. I will for sure be buying another container. Some of the tools are just fine; the pasta spoon, potato peeler, pie server, whisk, pizza cutter, and cheese grater are all perfectly serviceable. It might be worth it to buy the set just to get these things at a lower price than you might be able to get them individually. Best to just throw the other stuff out, though. The rest of the set is flimsy and low quality. The spatulas and spoons in particular are prone to basically just disintegrating when used for actual cooking, which is inconvenient for many cooks. The utensils don't all fit in the basket, which is fine, except that the ones you choose to keep in there inevitably slide across the bottom and spill out the basket, and you'll spend an inordinate amount of time trying to get them all to stay upright and fully inside the very thing that's supposed to help you corral them easily on your countertop.tl;dr: Some of the utensils are useful, but anyone other than occasional cooks or people who buy kitchen utensils for decorative purposes will end up having to buy more durable replacements for the flimsier items.Great started set. I was very hesitant to buy since half the reviews are good and the other half aren't.. but for the price you get Soo many gadgets. This is a great starter set or a great beater set which is why I got it... This isn't the highest quality utensils but it was a great value and I would definitely buy again. And as far as the rack.. everyone was correct about how the utensils fall out the sides due to large holes... I threw the utensils in another holder and use the rack it came with in my bathroom as a shampoo and conditioner caddy. Works great repurposed :)
