**Genuine OEM Craftsman 148763 Riding Lawn Mower Blade Drive Belt – Replacement for Craftsman, Poulan, Tower, Sears – Perfect for Lawn Maintenance & Landscaping**

I have a craftsman tractor mower with a 46" deck. My mower is model number 917.256660. This is the upper belt. There is a longer belt connected to all the pulleys for the three blades and there is the thicker, shorter belt that connects the deck to the engine. This belt was the thicker one. The reason I am mentioning this is, I didn't realize there was a difference and I went to the Sears parts show and ended up with the wrong belt. I didn't feel like wasting more money so I came here to get the right belt and not pay for shipping.I bought this mower used a couple of years ago and it had just had the belts replaced. I had never changed the belts on this mower so didn't understand which one to get. I know now and in case there is anyone that is not sure which belt to get, I hope this helps.a friend put both belts on the mower for me yesterday and they are working great!This belt fit exactly onto my 1999 Craftsman 46" 3000 mower deck (3 mulching blades). I overhauled the deck myself replacing a number of items including this belt that powers the mower blades off the tractor's electric clutch drive, I had the belt professionally installed as I did not have the proper setup to easily install it myself (no fault of the belt). New belts tend to stretch some after use, but when new they can be difficult to get onto the clutch unit. The mower runs really well now.Not sure why, but it's my 3rd order of late, belt unravels, and twist. Can't find anything wrong with riding mower. Goes on relatively easy, works so well for a period of time, and then comes off. When it came off each time, it lost it's shape, wire sticking out, belt coming apart. Just ordered another one.Can't speak to durability just put it on.I instauled the belt and start ctting the grass its wonderfull i said to my self , working very good but after half an hour all the suden the its stoped rotating the dlades and look under the tractor i see the belt was loosing its steel cords and it got tangeld with the clutch tha it stoped its rotation i would not recomend this belt at all .As the headline say's. The belt I got was not Craftsman. Very disappointing since the description says CRAFTSMAN. I suppose it will work though.Primary drive belt for craftsman 46 in" mower. Belt is cracking, splitting, falling apart after less than 10 hrs of use. Avoid this piece of junk, obviously not OEM quality. Wish I could rate it zero stars.This did not fit my 46" cut Craftsman riding mower. Way too big.
